Puppies,
Started and/or Trained Dogs
For Adoption or For Sale
Every breeder knows there
are going to be times when a
female, for whatever reason,
is just not going to fit
into a breeding program. I
occasionally have young or
middle-aged dogs available
to be placed in a carefully
screened home if I feel it
is in the best interest of
the particular dog. My older
retired personal drahthaars
stay in my kennel to live
out their remaining life in
comfort and familiar
surroundings. There are
times when individuals
realize the advantages of
adopting a fully trained,
well socialized, house
trained dog rather than an
eight week old puppy.
Adopting can be a perfect
situation benefiting both
dog and the adoptive family.
Instead of competing with my
other dogs for attention,
the adoptive dog has the
exclusive attention of a
loving family. I am always
saddened to see one of my
females leave, but I take
comfort in the fact that she
will now be the center of
attention for a wonderful
family. Any one who if
familiar with drahthaars
know that regardless of how
old they are, each dog has
an unbelievable desire and
ability to bond with those
who show it love and
affection.

Birko
III vom Wildflugel, Braun m. Abz.

I
posted several photos of Bear and
Birko to give individuals an idea of
their conformation and how hard
(coarse) their hair is on their legs
and down their backs. Bear
and Birko are in the process of
being crate trained and introduced
to basic obedience. They have received their
final "puppy shot" and I
have started
taking them to the field for romps.
This gives them the opportunity
to get used to riding in a vehicle.
The pups will be introduced to a
started pistol during their time in
the field.
